Established sixteen years ago, Ormond Beach Aviation is owned and operated by a former British airline training captain and is virtually unique in the “jungle” of American flight schools by having a resident JAA pilot examiners on staff at all times. 

The single engine Piper Arrow is known as a complex aircraft because it has retractable landing gear and a constant speed propeller. This is the next step up from the fixed gear, fixed pitch propeller training aircraft above. 

"Guaranteed Pass" means exactly that. We undertake to train candidates, whom we determine to be of average aptitude and ability, in the time allowed, to meet the standards required by the JAA to achieve a "pass" for the License or Rating for which we have undertaken to train them. 

The maintenance department at Ormond Beach Aviation is charged with keeping the entire fleet in safe, airworthy condition. The staff is five to six FAA licensed engineers, and a further support staff of two to three more people. These are the people behind the scenes.
